How it works

Step 1
Sun Resident shares code from the Portal
Log into your Customer Portal and navigate to Sun Exclusive Benefits on the Actions tab. Under the Sun Communities Referral Program, you'll be able to copy or email your specific Referral Code. -
Step 2
New Applicant selects "Current Resident" and enters codeWhen filling out your online application, applicants will be asked "How did you hear about us?" Select "Current Resident" and enter the Referral Code provided by a Sun Resident into the application. -
Step 3
New Applicant completes application process and moves inSubmit the application, follow the post-application steps (if required), and move into your new home! -
Step 4
Reward is credited to existing Sun Resident's account automaticallyOnce your referral moves into a Sun Community, your referral reward will be credited to your account.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Am I eligible to receive my referral reward in the form of a gift card? Referral rewards are provided as a credit to your customer ledger and may be considered taxable income.
- Can I refer multiple members of the same household? You may refer multiple members, but only one referral reward is eligible per transaction.
- When will I receive my referral reward? Subject to the general terms and conditions of our program, referral rewards are paid out 30 days after the end of the month in which the eligible transaction closed.
