Job Description

Under general supervision, is responsible for managing the day-to-day human resource functions and the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs to support designated internal clients. Internal clients may include Main Office or regions within the Operations Group. Functional areas are defined as: employment, employee relations, training and development. The goal is to provide for an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal attainment, compliance with policies and procedures, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a high quality workforce.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years human resources experience. Must have thorough understanding of Labor Law and EEO guidelines. Previous experience with coaching for performance and Employee Relations investigations needed as well as the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and PowerPoint strongly preferred.

§ Thorough knowledge and understanding of all human resources related functions/areas: recruiting, employee relations, training and development, benefits, workers' compensation, salary administration and payroll.

§ Ability to provide guidance and interpretation of Human Resources policies and procedures to managers and employees.

§ Excellent presentation and communication skills with proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.

§ Strong interpersonal, investigative and mediation skills.

§ Thorough knowledge and understanding of the implications of fair employment practices.

§ Good computer skills and understanding of those systems that support the HR function. Preferred experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
